Molton Brown enhances its sustainable luxury offering for hotels with the Botanical Hair Care collection

Molton Brown is delighted to announce the release of its Botanical Hair Care collection for the hotel chain as part of the UK perfumers’ ongoing mission to deliver positive, conscious luxury to hotel partners.

Today, hotel guests recognize that a true luxury experience must have sustainable and ethical production at its core. This belief that luxury and sustainability should always go hand in hand has also been at the heart of Molton Brown’s philosophy since the brand’s beginnings in its original Mayfair salon in the 1970s.

Today, more than 50 years later, this spirit is still at the heart of the creation of all Molton Brown collections. The Botanical Hair Care collection continues in this direction and is being introduced to the hospitality sector to build on its success with customers in national and retail markets. The range brings together modern sustainable ingredients and innovative technology, with the holistic, forward-thinking approach of the brand’s pioneering founders who delivered hair styling with a conscious concern for the environment. These original collections rejected the chemical formulas typical of the 1970s and featured English herbs, natural beauty and a “people first” ethos at their core.

For this new release in the hotel chain, the hydrating shampoo and conditioner are enriched with sustainably sourced chamomile. As a tribute to the brand’s London home, the herbs used are grown in formerly abandoned underground tunnels, using remarkable hydroponic systems and LED technology. This means they are produced year-round in a controlled, pesticide-free environment, unaffected by weather conditions and seasons. Using 70% less water than a traditional farm, this method retains all nutrients in a closed-loop system to reduce agricultural runoff.

Chamomile Hydrating Shampoo and Chamomile Hydrating Conditioner will be launched in the hospitality sector to provide a salon-quality formula and a long-lasting expression of quintessentially British luxury for hotel guests.

As a heartfelt nod to Molton Brown’s artisanal origins, the collection is presented in bottles featuring a charming illustration of the unique herbs that enrich the product. They are made from 50% post-consumer recycled plastic and are recyclable, helping to reduce virgin materials.

Simon James, Managing Director EMEA, Molton Brown mentioned: “Sustainability has been an essential part of Molton Brown’s mindset and ideals from the very beginning. Today we are proud to continue the groundbreaking work of our founders with innovative new collections that push the boundaries of sustainable production and set us apart as a heritage British brand producing luxury with a conscious concern for the world. »

“With this new Botanical Hair Care collection, we are thrilled to offer our hotel partners and their guests another opportunity to integrate a natural and sustainable approach into an upscale and relaxing hotel experience. Our use of hydroponic systems in formerly derelict London Underground tunnels, alongside sustainably sourced chamomile, is a perfect showcase of our heritage, expertise and core beliefs, while representing our ongoing efforts to push back the limits by offering high-end and sustainable luxury.

The Botanical Hair Care collection is 100% vegan* and, like all Molton Brown products, free of parabens and phthalates, and is also silicone free. It will be available in the hospitality sector from April in 300ml, 100ml, 50ml and 30ml varieties and a 5 liter refill.

*No ingredients of animal origin.
