Track: Sweet 6. Rail: True
Insight: Life Well Lived has tracked the easier races well and finds the services of Hugh Bowman here. Mirror Queen was also impressive in quality and easier cards to get all the favors here. Zadig made the last start in the highway class but is now riding on the trip, while Relucent is well weighted here and will also have admirers.
Betting Tips: Mirror Queen looks at the card horse.
Insight: Highly Desired was a pretty impressive last start and it looks like a good run for him again with a smart claim for Dylan Gibbons. He only has to run 1800m now. Adios Steve did well on the last start of the Kensington track and will be better at racing on this trip. Nicochet is an honest galloper, while Segrill and Etheridge would both be competitive here if they could get back to their best form.
Betting Tips: Not much between Highly Desired and Adios Steve.
Insight: Marakopa loves Randwick and he’s really found some consistency lately. It should make a good run in transit and be very late. Our candidate started in Grafton at the last start and he is campaigning well. Cadre Du Noir took third place in the last preparation and has tried hard since the last start. Then United is the best choice.
Betting Tips: Inclination to Marakopa.
Insight: Conqueror is tough to lean here and looks like a progressive horse for the Chris Waller yard. His first win form was solid and the overall time was nice too. Cotton Fingers, I’ve Bean Tryin, Gracilistyla and Coodarady should all have admirers, but I’m happy to tip the scales here at Conqueror.
Betting Tips: Conqueror at the top but no spoiler at the price of the beginning.
Insight: Pizarro did well this preparation and he received a super lap from Hugh Bowman at the last start. The only concern here is the inside draw and fence holding, but he looks tough to beat. Niffler falls sharply on the trip but she looked fired up on a recent tryout and she had an apology at the last start. Equation returns as a gelding and can also finish strong.
Betting Tips: Inclination to Pizarro.
Insight: Van Giz was exceptional behind The Bopper in first place last preparation and she just must have strayed too far from the wide draw that day. She draws a good door here and Dylan Gibbons’ claim is a big plus. Smirnova should have won first place in the last preparation and tried well before that. Maotai returns as a gelding and looked more relaxed in a recent trial. I wonder if they will ride it more quietly here? Leo has a great track record at this track and this distance and looks like the next best.
Betting Tips: Van Giz set.
Insight: Lord Ardmore looks like a progressive middle distance horse and there’s no reason he can’t win again here. He’s only third and I wouldn’t be surprised if he continues to have better races than this in the spring. Alcyone was a dominant winner first and he still has upside second on the trip. Francesco Guardi was no match for Lord Ardmore’s latest start but must also be respected.
Betting Tips: Victory of Lord Ardmore.
Insight: Difficult race to rate with most of them resuming after a break. Forbidden Love was an outstanding final build and there’s no reason it couldn’t be freshly arrived. Bellucci Babe really came of age last draft and her recent tryouts have been enjoyable. She is right in this freshness. Embracer and Count De Rupee will also have admirers.
Betting Tips: Not much between Forbidden Love and Belucci Babe.
Insight: Open race as the market suggests. Bold Mac was a good first winner and the climb to 1600m seems like a logical step. Contributingfactor was dominant in the last start and here he finds the services of Dylan Gibbons. Casino Kid is going on a more proper trip and will also be returning home late.
Betting Tips: Not much between Bold Mac and Contributingfactor.
Insight: Jal Lei hit the line well into second and he looks set to peak third on the home track now. Glittery has a very good campaign and she just has to see the 1200m now. Eye See Things was impressive first and now has its chance in the Saturday class, while Sunrise Ruby, Lady Brook and Marchioness are all capable.
Betting Tips: Boxed Trifecta: 1,2,7,9,10,11,13.
